Debra Harr was voted in as Interim Treasurer Assistant in January 2026. She is currently assisting Sonja Hanson until a new Interim Treasurer can be found. Sonja has served as the Interim Treasurer since August 2025 for The Missouri Assembly.
In this role, Debra will keep records for the Assembly needs through the use of various secure methods.
The Treasurer of The Missouri Assembly oversees the Banking Committee and is responsible for overseeing the Assembly’s financial health with accuracy, transparency, and accountability. This role includes managing all funds, maintaining detailed financial records, and ensuring proper reporting of income and expenditures.
A key responsibility is monitoring budgets for each committee, ensuring funds are allocated appropriately and used in alignment with Assembly goals. The Treasurer works closely with committee leaders to review budget requests, track spending, and provide financial guidance to maintain fiscal discipline.
Additionally, the Treasurer prepares regular financial reports, ensures compliance with any applicable regulations or internal policies, and safeguards the integrity of all financial processes within The Missouri Assembly.
